Kam: Oakville, Manitoba, Canada; I was born and raised on a family farm just north of Oakville, Manitoba. Currently I live just outside of Oakville with my wife of 10 years Krista and our three wonderful children, Payton 10, Cody 8 and Tristan 4. I attended elementary school in Oakville, and later graduated from Arthur Meighen High School. I furthered my education studying Business Admin in Calgary and Rural Development in Brandon. Since graduating, I have become a partner in Blight Native Seeds Ltd, with my father Jim and brother Kevin. I devote my spare time not only to my family, but various other organizations. I have served two terms as President of the Oakville and District Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, I served as President of the Northern Seed Trade Association, whose membership spans an expansive area reaching from Kansas to Northern Canada, as well as from Washington to Illinois. Prior to becomming the President of the NSTA, I served on that board for 5 years. I also have a passion for minor sports and have had many great opportunities coaching hockey.
